APPLICATION

Applications are open to musicologists, writers, scholars, philosophers, artistic directors, and relevant interdisciplinary groups. Applicants should propose a clearly defined project that can benefit from sustained presentation, critical exchange, revision, and public discussion.

Applications should demonstrate:

 

– The project’s central question or proposition

– Its intellectual, artistic, institutional, or public relevance

– The proposed method and principal materials

– Its current stage of development

– Its relationship to IDEALS, REALITY, SURPRISE: A New Introduction to New Music

– The form the contribution may take during the on-site residency

 

Selection will consider the clarity and significance of the proposal, methodological appropriateness, capacity for development, relevance to the residency framework, and potential contribution to the cohort’s collective inquiry.

Participants are expected to attend all online seminars, prepare and circulate materials when requested, engage substantively with other projects, and participate in the on-site residency and public program in Bled. Sustained engagement across all stages is essential.
